VIP Car Service in August: Grease 40th Anniversary, Ed Sheeran and More
The heat and excitement of summer 2018 continues as we go deeper into the sunny months of the season. A big list of exciting festivals, exhibits and conventions, and concerts by A-list stars come to the vibrant and active city of Los Angeles. Are you ready to have the time of your life, with friends and family, at these delightful events, and more importantly, how will you get there?
At L.A. VIP Car Service our service has received a 5-star rating on Yelp, and our courteous reservation staff and skilled drivers are ready to drive you to a variety of summer hotspots.
Let’s take a look at some popular events we have highlighted and see what August 2018 brings to the greater Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.
No more dust and driving all the way to find yourself sweating at a remote desert waiting for your favorite bands or DJs to go on. Splash House has taken the music festival and placed it poolside. This multi-location festivity takes place at the Palm Spring Renaissance, the Riviera Resort and the Saguaro hotel with famous names from the dance world taking the stage, along with unforgettable sets by popular DJs. Comfortable rooms, air conditioned for comfort will help partygoers cool off while the top restaurants around town can be a great stop to nourish the body.
Beat the heat and the crowd by reserving a luxury car now, and zip around town and between the various locations of this music fest. Make a reservation here.
Fried foods, and multiple food vendors, in a carnival style setting and add some demolition derby and the rodeo, and you will get the idea. That’s the OC Fair which has been going strong since 1889. It starts in July and ends on August 12.
Dust off those leather jackets and tease your hair into a pompadour style, because this time, when you join the crowd for a sing-along of “Summer Lovin’” the actual Sandy and Danny will be in attendance. That’s right, superstars John Travolta (as Danny), and Olivia Newton John (as Sandy) from the original 1978 film, Grease, will be there along with Barry Pearl, Didi Conn and the film’s director Randal Kleiser for an unforgettable evening celebrating the pop culture phenomenon that will not fade away. Hosted by comedienne Margaret Cho, this 40th anniversary screening will be a hoot and a sold out event.
This American pop, synth-pop, and rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada rose to fame with singles like “I write Sins Not Tragedies,” earning a double-platinum album with their debut. Helmed by singer, Brandon Urie, PaD will tour in support of its latest album Pray for the Wicked. There will be no shortage of spectacle and showmanship with Urie as the band’s energetic front man.
You know you’re a big deal when you get ready to perform at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and that’s exactly what Ed Sheeran, the British pop-sensation will be doing. Performing chart-topping hits like “Galway Girl,” “Shape of You,” “Perfect,” and “Photograph” for his diehard fans in a magical, under-the-stars setting. Sheeran, now decorated with a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) and multiple musical awards, will bring the crowd at the legendary stadium to its feet.
If you are one of the lucky people attending this amazing event, you definitely need to take a look at our fleet of cars and reserve one soon, because going to and leaving the Rose Bowl can be a challenge, but a task our drivers are familiar with and more than happy to take on to make sure your joyous and fun experience has a steady flow of comfort and pleasure.
English crooner, Sam Smith will hit the stage at the Staples Center in Downtown L.A., later in the month of August performing some of his big hits such as “Lay Me Down,” “Stay with Me,” “I’m Not the Only One.” Smith has won multiple prizes at Billboard awards, Brit awards, Grammy awards, and even a Golden Globe and an Academy Award (Oscar trophy) for “Writings on the Wall,” the theme song to the 2015 James bond film Spectre.
With the arrival of summer comes the annual free concert series presented at the Skirball Center, featuring a variety of artists from the indie, folk, and world music genres. Get there early and visit the museum galleries. Encouraged to dance, sing along and get closer to the stage for more of an up close experience.
